On this page, I will be hoping to keep parents informed of what "I am seeing at school "as far as illnesses.
Please refer to RCS HEALTH POLICY; If a student has a fever, diarrhea or vomiting they must stay home. The CDC recommends for a student to stay home for 24 hours without vomiting, 48 hours without diarrhea. If your child is prescribed an antibiotic, they must be on it for 24 hours before they return to school. Always feel free to call if you have any questions. If your child is sick, when you call the school, please briefly state the reason if it relates to an illness. I am able to track classes and/or grades that may be having a trend with an illness and be proactive on early intervention(s), especially during Flu season.
REMEMBER... the best defense from spreading germs is HAND WASHING!
